Jenny May Roberts is our Membership Development Executive. She offers support to students and their Mathematics Societies, as well as promoting mathematics and highlighting student opportunities.
Jenny manages the grants scheme, the eStudent scheme, creates the eStudent newsletters and delivers the IMA Maths Careers talk which comprises
- General careers’ information starting from a mathematical sciences degree
- Emphasis on how to present yourself to employers at CV and interview stage
- About the IMA and how membership of a professional body supports your applications and subsequent career development.
The talk can be tailored to meet different timescales as required. The talk can be delivered virtually in the host platform of your choice or in person, or there is a video talk available.

Grant Scheme
The IMA is keen to increase engagement with Mathematical Sciences undergraduates through grants to Mathematics Societies. These grants can be used for maths society events, careers activities and other activities that promote mathematics. We have 20 grants of £400 to award.
