Because mathematics is ubiquitous, so is our membership base. The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications has a diverse membership that ranges from university students through qualified professionals to those retired but still interested and involved.

Approximately forty percent of our members are employed in education (schools through to universities), with most of the rest in commercial, industrial and governmental organisations.  We currently have around 5,000 members.
