Abstract

Advances in machine learning have now practical applications in the up-to-date clinical management in eye care.

The aim of this presentation is about how machine learning models can be useful to clinicians in making best use of their patient data for delivering safe personalised care. I would like to present my cataract detection model using deep learning algorithm.

I would like to discuss current trends in diagnosis and management of common eye conditions like Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma and Cataract with reference to computational models and artificial intelligence.

What is exciting about my journey and going back to basics in mathematics helped me enrich my understanding in ophthalmology and thereby help improve my patient care.

The talk will be followed by Conclusions and Q&A.
