Individuals in secondary schools, Colleges of Further Education (FE) and Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in the United Kingdom can apply for a grant to help with the costs of running or attending an educational activity relating to mathematics.
The purpose of the Institute’s Small Grant Scheme is to facilitate research activity in all areas of applicable mathematics. The Scheme is designed to be flexible, to have a simple application procedure, and to offer a rapid response to applications. It is open to all members of the wider mathematics community.
The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications is keen to increase engagement of university students with the activities of the IMA. As part of this initiative a pilot scheme of small grants of up to £300 has been developed to give university student mathematical societies some funding for various activities to enhance their programme
