The event was organized in response to recent rapid changes in higher education, and while many UK universities are reviewing their curricula. The meeting provided a platform for thought-provoking talks from leading academics in UK Mathematical Sciences, addressing the question, “What are the purposes of our degrees?” It also served as an opportunity for community discussion about the aptitudes they would like their graduates to develop and the wider goals of the education we aim to provide.
