Call for Nominations
IMA Vice President with responsibility for Learned Society 2025
The Council of the IMA is inviting nominations for the above role.
By its Royal Charter the IMA is required to have three Vice Presidents. These are amongst the seven Honorary Officers specified in the Charter. VPs are members of Council, the Executive Board and, through their membership of Council, are Trustees.
A VP’s term of office is for a maximum of four years. It is currently the expectation and practice that VPs serve an initial two years in their role, with an option to agree a further two years in the role until the maximum tenure is reached.
Criteria / Requirements
- Self-nomination is permitted for this voluntary role; the deadline is 3 May 2024
- Nominees must be a member of the IMA, having attained the grade of MIMA or above.
- Nominees should submit a summary, stating their background and their reasons for standing for this role, with their nomination form. These summaries must not exceed 200 words.
- The nomination must be supported by two members who have attained the IMA grade of FIMA or above
