Employers tell us that membership of a professional body can be a significant advantage to those starting their careers.

If you join as a Student Member before you graduate then you could benefit from up to three years of Associate Membership of the IMA at the discounted rate of £10 per year, or if you continue studying, for the duration of your post-graduate studies. Associate Membership is currently over £50 per year, so you will save a significant amount.

Membership at Associate level means that you can use the suffix AMIMA on your CV, demonstrating to potential employers your commitment to your profession and to ongoing professional development. You will also benefit from discounted access to conferences, journals and a complimentary subscription to our print magazine, Mathematics Today.

So, before you graduate make sure you join the IMA to benefit from this offer:

  1. Go to myIMA create an account and then follow the ‘Join us’ instructions to become a Student Member.
  2. Advise the IMA when you have confirmation of your degree. You will be upgraded to Associate Member of the IMA.
