Two factor authentication (2FA) is a simple way to add an additional layer of security to many web based logins. Please note, this is optional. In the following annotated screen captures I’ll show you how to set up 2FA on your myIMA account.
First log into your myIMA account in the normal way and navigate to the Personal Details section.
Within the Personal Details section scroll down to Tel Mobile and make sure you have accurately provided your mobile number. Make sure you choose Apply Changes if you have added/changed a mobile number. (note: with the prefix country code, +44 in the UK, or without are both acceptable)
Then proceed to the Security Settings section on the left.

Note 2FA is currently disabled. Press the slider in order to enable it.

2FA is now enabled. Now, the next time the user logs into myIMA they’ll provide their email address and password as normal but two additional things will occur.

myIMA will prompt them for a PIN (note: I appreciate this PIN is more accurately pseudorandom)

They will then receive a SMS (text message) to their mobile phone with the accompanying PIN code which is required to complete login.
