What can our students learn from the old (mathematical) masters? Dr Snezana Lawrence (Bath Spa University)
Abstract
This talk will examine the nature of mathematical cultures from history and from examples in practice, trying to establish what kind of image of mathematics we create to present our school-age pupils with an image of mathematics as a discipline and a profession.
