The IMA is proud to present a day of mathematics for pupils aged 16+
The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) are putting on a wonderful day of mathematics on Monday 3 July at Loughborough University aimed at students in year 12. This will be useful to anyone studying A-level maths and particularly those thinking of applying for a maths-related degree course. The afternoon includes some pure and applied maths and statistics and will end with a panel discussion where students will have an opportunity to ask speakers and others various questions about maths careers and university entry.
Talks
From Bras to Bridges, Prof John Tyrer (Loughborough)
Maths’s Greatest Unsolved Puzzles, Katie Steckles
Boomerangs and Bicycle Wheels, Jonathan Histed
