The Grants Without Portfolio scheme has been suspended pending a review of IMA grants.

On occasion the IMA receives applications for funding which do not fall within the scope of the IMA’s other grant schemes, namely:

A small budget has been assigned and consideration will be given to applications which do not fit the criteria of the other schemes.

In order to be considered for this type of grant from the IMA, applicants should be aware of the following conditions:

  • The Grants Without Portfolio scheme (‘the scheme’) does not support funding for matters covered under the other IMA grant schemes as noted above.
  • The scheme cannot be used in conjunction with another IMA grant application.
  • Funds are not available under this scheme for students’ living costs, tuition fees, or other out of pocket expenses associated with their courses / projects.
  • Requests for support from the scheme must take into consideration the charitable objectives of the IMA as stated in our Royal Charter.

Applications will be reviewed by the IMA Executive Board. Decisions are based on professional judgement rather than a strict formula. For this reason, no reasons will be given for approving or turning down awards, and no correspondence will be conducted once a decision is reached.
