The Council of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications is delighted to announce the establishment of a new medal – The IMA David Youdan Medal – to be awarded to a member of the IMA, or its professional staff, for sustained outstanding contribution to the aims and objectives of the IMA. The medal will be awarded biennially. Nominations are hereby sought for the inaugural 2022 award.
Nominations should be accompanied by a supporting statement (maximum 1000 words) signed by two Fellows of the Institute, and sent to the IMA Executive Manager, Alison Penry (alison.penry@ima.org.uk) by 30 December 2021.
The recipient will receive a sterling silver medal, a certificate, and a financial award of £1000.
The IMA David Youdan Medal has been established in honour of David Youdan who served with distinction as IMA Executive Director from 2002 to 2021.
