Miss Robyn Louise Goldsmith

Robyn graduated from the University of Greenwich with an MMath in Mathematics in 2020. Later that year, she joined the Statistics and Operational Research with Industry (STOR-i) Centre for Doctoral Training at Lancaster University and was awarded an MRes in Statistics and Operational Research before commencing her PhD in 2021. Her PhD research is focused in Forecasting and being conducted in partnership with an industrial partner. Robyn is passionate about science communication and outreach. She documents her PhD journey and shares enthusiasm for mathematics and its applications on Instagram (@mathsrob). A previous recipient of the IMA’s Graham Hoare Prize, her work has been published in Mathematics Today and Significance Magazine.
