Wednesday 19th November 1997. The Mathematics of the Barbershop Quartet. A talk by M. Peters (Liverpool John Moores University). 7.30 p.m. in Room A1, Pope Building, Nottingham University.

This talk comprises some interesting musical speculations on the physiological production and perception of sound. The speculations are motivated by an appeal to certain mathematical observations on periodic and aperiodic change. Dr. Peters will be illustrating his talk with demonstrations.
