Using networks to understand disease spread, a talk by Dr Jess Enright (University of Glasgow)
Abstract
Networks that describe connections between people can help us understand how infectious diseases spread through a population or around the world. I’ll talk about several different examples of how we use networks in disease modelling, and how and why the properties of the networks that spread a disease are important. This talk will use examples from various epidemics and settings, and aims to be accessible to a general audience.
