Mathematics at the Heart of Cardiovascular disease

Mathematics at the Heart of Cardiovascular disease, a talk by Joe Dunster (University of Reading)

Abstract

In this talk, we will describe some mathematical models that describe the events that can lead to us having heart attacks and strokes.  These models are developed in close collaboration with biologists.  We are using them to try to understand which molecular mechanisms are important in determining if we are likely to develop cardiovascular disease.

No charge is made to attend meetings and non-members are welcome.
