Post-modern cryptography – How quantum computers are already changing the world and how mathematics, old and new, is meeting the challenge, Dr Richard Pinch to the former vice president of the IMA.
Quantum computers are moving out of the realm of the purely theoretical and into the real world. In this talk we shall see how quantum computation works, and what we can expect from it: we shall look at how it is affecting the security of cyberspace and how mathematics and mathematicians are meeting the challenge.
