IMA 2024 CELEBRATIONS
The IMA reaches its 60th anniversary on 23 April 2024.
2024 marks three key milestones in the Institute’s history:
- Our 60th anniversary
- The 100th anniversary of the birth of first President, Sir James Lighthill
- The 20th anniversary of the Early Career Mathematicians Committee
We will also look to the future, aiming to inspire the next generation of mathematical scientists through increased participation at STEM events for young people and social media campaigns to encourage members to share their love of mathematics.
Join us at a series of special events to highlight these important occasions and celebrate the achievements of our members. Our celebrations will culminate with a final event on 16 October at Savoy Place, London.
Special funding for IMA Branches to run local celebration events is also available.
