Are you passionate about mathematics and eager to be part of a vibrant community of like-minded individuals in the Republic of Ireland?
We are keen to introduce a new Branch of the IMA, and we are seeking dedicated committee members to help make it a success. Our society has a long-standing tradition of promoting excellence in mathematical research, education, and professional practice. We hope to be able to link up local members to connect, communicate, share local opportunities for face to face and locally focussed online content, and provide opportunities for collaboration, networking, and professional development.
Regional IMA Branches can claim a small grant each calendar year to help with their speaker, travel and refreshment costs. In addition, we are able to share details of Branch events with local members, on our socials and via the IMA website.

Committee Roles
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to form the committee. Your contribution will be invaluable in various roles, including:
- Chair: Lead the committee, set agendas, and ensure the successful execution of the Branch’s goals.
- Secretary: Manage meeting minutes, correspondence, and maintain records to ensure smooth communication and documentation.
- Vice Chair/Treasurer: Oversee the Branch finances, manage budgets, and ensure transparent financial practices.
- Event Coordination: Help organise local events, such as seminars, workshops, and networking sessions.
- General Committee Support: Assist in the overall planning and execution of branch activities.
