The following message has been sent to the President of the European Mathematical Society (EMS) to present to the European Mathematical Society Council Meeting in Berlin on 16-17 July (the IMA being a Full Corporate member of the EMS):
“The IMA, as professional and learned body for mathematicians in the United Kingdom, takes this opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the study, research and application of mathematics as a fully collaborative venture between mathematicians of all countries, irrespective of political arrangements, and will continue to work in cooperation with other mathematical societies, national and international.”
