This event builds upon a very successful series of previous conferences. From the first event held in Bath in 1985 to the most recent one held in Birmingham in 2012 as successful as its predecessors, the organising committee is delighted to announce the IMA International Conference on Mathematics in Signal Processing to be held in December 15-17, 2014.
Signal processing constitutes an important area for the application of mathematical concepts and techniques fuelled, for example, by developments in mobile communications, networks, multimedia system, genomics and bioengineering, neural signal processing, and big data processing. The subject is still advancing rapidly in areas such as non-linear signal processing and systems, compressive sampling, digital communication systems, iterative estimation, blind deconvolution/signal separation, broadband systems, compressed sensing and novel sampling schemes. The aim of the conference is to bring together mathematicians, statisticians and engineers with a view to exploring recent developments and identifying fruitful avenues for further research. It is hoped that the meeting will help to attract more mathematicians into this important and challenging field.
The conference will follow the same successful format as before, comprising tutorials, keynote addresses and non-overlapping technical sessions consisting of oral and poster presentations.
A social programme will be organised and will include a reception to welcome delegates.

Successful authors were invited to submit a four page paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings by 7 November 2014.
