Funding opportunities supporting research, students and mathematics initiatives.
The purpose of the Institute’s Small Grant Scheme is to facilitate research activity in all areas of applicable mathematics. The Scheme is designed to be flexible, to have a simple application procedure, and to offer a rapid response to applications. It is open to IMA members of all grades (barring eStudent).
The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications is keen to increase engagement of university students with the activities of the IMA. Small grants of £400 are available to university student mathematical societies to provide some funding for various activities to enhance their programme and promote mathematics. Undergraduate maths societies, postgraduate maths societies and mixed student maths societies are eligible to apply.
