London & South East

Branches of the IMA are important in helping the Institute meet its charitable objectives, but they also provide networking opportunities for members. The London & South East Branch run events and free talks for members and non members across the region.

Upcoming Event:

Would you like to see more mathematics talks and events in your region?

Do you have ideas for new projects, a passion for organising events, or simply want to get involved? IMA Branches are keen to recruit committee members from all backgrounds, including those working in industry, business, academia and government, as well as early career mathematicians, trainee teachers and PhD students. The IMA are committed to building committees that reflect the diversity of the mathematical community.

Joining a Branch committee is an excellent opportunity to contribute your ideas and perspectives, help shape and organise events and initiatives, develop valuable skills and experience, build connections with fellow IMA members, and support inclusion and diversity across the profession.

How to apply
To nominate yourself for a committee role, please send a short biography and a paragraph outlining why you would be a good fit to the Branches Co-Ordinator: [email protected].
