Higher Education Committee
The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) Higher Education Committee (HEC) serves as the principal forum for considering issues relating to mathematics teaching, learning, and policy in higher education. Advising the IMA on developments across the sector, the Committee helps shape policy and recommendations while supporting a vibrant network of mathematics educators.
In addition to overseeing course accreditation and recognition, the Committee contributes to new teaching and learning initiatives, organises workshops and events, and collaborates with partner organisations within the mathematical sciences community. Through these activities, the HEC promotes excellence and champions the value of mathematics for students, educators, and institutions.
