IMA Journals

The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) publishes eight peer-reviewed journals in partnership with Oxford University Press. These journals cover applied mathematics, numerical analysis, information science, mathematical biology, control theory, management mathematics and mathematics education.

IMA Journal of Applied Mathematics

Editors: Alan R. Champneys (University of Bristol), Darren Crowdy (Imperial College London) and Demetrios T. Papageorgiou (Imperial College London). The journal publishes research in applied mathematics arising from science, engineering, industry and finance.

IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis

Editors: Charlie M. Elliott (University of Warwick), Alexandre Ern (École des Ponts ParisTech), Arieh Iserles (University of Cambridge) and Endre Süli (University of Oxford). The journal publishes papers on numerical methods and computational mathematics.

Mathematical Medicine and Biology: A Journal of the IMA

Publishes research on the application of mathematics, modelling and computation in medicine, biology and the life sciences.

IMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information

Editors: Sarah Spurgeon, Joachim Rudolph, Jérôme Lohéac, Christophe Prieur and Giordano Scarciotti. The journal focuses on control theory, systems theory and information science.

IMA Journal of Management Mathematics

Editor-in-Chief: Aris Syntetos (Cardiff University). The journal publishes mathematical research relevant to management, operations research, business analytics, finance and public-sector decision making.

Information and Inference: A Journal of the IMA

Publishes mathematically focused research on information, data, statistics, machine learning and inference.

Transactions of Mathematics and its Applications

Covers the full range of contemporary applied mathematics, including theoretical, computational and interdisciplinary work.

Teaching Mathematics and its Applications

Publishes articles and resources for mathematics educators in secondary and higher education.

IMA journals support the dissemination of high-quality mathematical research across academia, industry and education. Through their partnership with Oxford University Press, they provide an internationally recognised platform for research spanning the breadth of the mathematical sciences.
